Four Stories to Share

The first two stories are ones that my two boys absolutely loved hearing Jimbo tell, and sometimes even repeated... Story one: The story of Sam Gorman. Story two: Jimbo (aka Cheese in my household, Uncle Cheese to my boys). Jimbo told us this story, but my boys repeat it this way: "Cheese had a wheelbarrow that tipped and flipped and hit his nuts." Story three is how Jimbo would sit around a bon-fire up at Lake Ontario and tell stories that the kids would be completely captivated by. To this day I have no idea where he came up with the stories or how he came up with them, but the kids (and adults) loved them. Story four: Years ago, a group of us from ADP would rent a van once a year and go to a Buffalo Bills football game. After arriving we all went to Jim Kelly's bar in downtown Buffalo and ate dinner. I tied into something that made me violently ill. Since Jimbo and I were rooming together he graciously brought me back to the room, and actually stayed there while everyone else went out on the town. At some point I fell asleep, only to be awakened by Jimbo. "Hey Cheese?" he said, (we both had the same nickname when it came to addressing each other). I said yeah. He said, "I just want you to know that I feel great." The next morning Jimbo not only didn't go to the game, but he rented a car and drove both of us back to Syracuse. This story to me demonstrates the comedic side and the loving part of Jimbo.
